Duncan Carr from Rotherham got back £1,707 from St James’s Place
Reclaimed figure is before the deduction of our fees
Duncan became a client of SJP in 2013 when he transferred his pensions to them. Across the years the adviser continued to meet with Duncan to discuss his financial and personal circumstances and he was happy with the service that he was receiving.
Duncan saw our ad on the internet and contacted us asking if we could assist him regarding the charges he had been paying for his ongoing advice with SJP. We reviewed the service he had received and despite the fact he had numerous discussions and meetings with his adviser it was clear that he had not had a full review every year. This meant he was paying for a service he was simply not receiving.
We sent our claim to SJP explaining why Duncan should receive a refund. After investigating the case SJP agreed with our findings and paid him £1707. This was because Duncan had not received reviews in 2015 and 2018 but paid fees for those years, so the fees were refunded together with interest.
