Kathleen Stelfox from Thatcham got back £812 from St James’s Place
Reclaimed figure is before the deduction of our fees
Kathleen became a client of SJP in 2016 and had both investments and pensions with them. Across the years the adviser continued to meet with Kathleen to discuss her financial requirements and she was happy with the service that she was receiving.
Kathleen saw our ad on the internet and contacted us asking if we could assist her regarding the charges she had been paying for her ongoing advice with SJP. We reviewed the service she received and despite the fact she had numerous discussions and meetings with her adviser it was clear that she had not had a full review every year. This meant she was paying for a service she was simply not receiving.
We sent our claim to SJP explaining why Kathleen should receive a refund. After investigating the case SJP agreed with our findings and paid her £812. This was to to refund the charges she had paid in 2020 and 2021 when she did not have a review with her adviser.
