Mr and Mrs Pendlebury from Cartmel got back £365 from St James’s Place
Reclaimed figure is before the deduction of our fees
Mark and Jane first met with a St James’s Place adviser to discuss investing for the future. They were both recommended to invest into a Stocks & Shares ISA.
They saw our ad on the internet and contacted us asking if we could assist them in refunding fees they had paid to St James’s Place.
Part of the agreement between the adviser and Mr & Mrs Pendlebury was that in return for an Ongoing Advice Charge, they would receive a review of their personal and financial circumstances each year. The couple did not think their adviser had provided the appropriate service.
We sent our claim to St James’s Place explaining why Mark and Jane should receive a refund of the charges they had paid when they had not received a review.
After investigating the case St James’s Place agreed with our findings and refunded the fees paid from 2016 when a review did not happen, plus interest. Mark and Jane received the amount of £365.
