Openwork
The Openwork Partnership is a leading UK financial advice company. The business is comprised of over 700 separate IFA firms with over 4200 financial advisers. Because members of the Openwork Partnership keep their own business name and identity, many clients are not aware their adviser is overseen by Openwork. This detail will usually be provided at the bottom of any letters or on the firm’s own website.
Openwork does not offer its own financial products so advisers can usually recommend investments and pensions from any provider. The firm was launched in 2005 and has been known previously by familiar names such as Zurich, Hill Samuel and Allied Dunbar.
All firms under the Openwork banner charge an annual fee to clients for their service, which is based on a percentage of the value of their funds. In order to provide the service promised they must conduct a review with each client, every year to ensure the products they hold are still suitable. If this does not happen then we believe the fee charged should be refunded.
